A long-term vision of preservation, scholarship and devotional renewal — so that the seat of the Mother continues to bless the world for centuries to come.
The mission of Shri Shri Mahalakshmi Bhairabi Griba Maha Peetha is to preserve, illuminate and renew one of the most sacred Shakta seats of the subcontinent — not as a relic of the past, but as a luminous presence in the future. We work at the intersection of spirituality, scholarship and culture so that the daily worship at this seat is supported by a wider ecosystem of awareness, education, hospitality and youth engagement.
“A heritage held with care is not a museum — it is a living blessing renewed every dawn.”
Bringing the story of the Griba Maha Peetha to a wider audience through publications, scholarly papers, films, social media and the digital platform of the Peetha itself.
Careful documentation of the temple's architecture, iconography, manuscripts and ritual heritage — accompanied by conservation interventions guided by qualified specialists.
Lectures, workshops and seminars in partnership with universities and cultural institutions on Shakta tradition, Bengal heritage and the wider Indo–BIMSTEC sacred geography.
Pilgrim circuits, residential retreats and study programmes that introduce younger generations to the depth of the Devi tradition and the dignity of sacred service.
A multi-phase plan for the gentle restoration of temple structures, the upgrading of pilgrim facilities and the development of an interpretive heritage centre at the precinct.
Working with Government and cultural partners to position the Peetha as a heritage destination on Bangladesh's spiritual map — to the benefit of pilgrims and the local community alike.
The Peetha is not the work of a few hands, but the shared inheritance of every devotee who steps into its courtyard. Our mission depends on the steady contribution of priests, scholars, artisans, hospitality staff, volunteers and pilgrims — each of whom plays an indispensable role.
We invite all those who feel called to this seat to participate: by visiting, by offering seva, by sponsoring rituals or restoration, by joining our youth programmes, or simply by carrying word of the Peetha back into the world. Every offering — material, intellectual or spiritual — adds to the unbroken thread of devotion.
